Posted by Robert Evans under Back and Spine
Gardening season is upon us. Be careful to warm up properly and to not do too much too soon. Set small goals at first so that you don’t cause undo fatique. This is what leads to subtle unjury to joints, ligaments, and soft tissue. That little window of opportunity where the back is unprotected by muscles and good posture is what gets you when you least expect it. Follow these simple safe gardening tips and you will find that your entire season is much more satisfying when you are pain free.

SAVE THE MIGHTY DANDELION!
The dandelions in ther yard you do spray,
Then on the lawn your children and pets do play,
About the earth, animals and kids do you care?
Do you think these poisons vanish into thin air?
These toxins into the watershed go,
Do you know you reap whatever you sow?
Oh, now you no longer feel so well.
For these toxins, when you spray, how they smell!
Perhaps some herbs to cleanse your liver will do?
So off to the health food store for you.
How ironic, and indeed, how truely absurd,
To feel better you buy dandelion herb!
